First of all, ignore how dusty my car is. Second of all, my M3 threw a CEL for the third time during my ownership. The previous two times were for throttle position actuators. This time it appears to be something different.
Got in my car on Saturday morning and was greeted by the CEL, and since it wasn’t in limp mode, figured it couldn’t be too nefarious, so I drove it. The good news is that it did go away after it warmed up. Also pulled fine deep into the rev range.
Bought a bluetooth ODB adapter, but I think I got a defective one. Going to read the code then go from there.

Ah, that makes sense. I would’ve gotten it to the red line, but I didn’t need to get too deep in “go to jail” speeds.

That’s what I’m hoping for, or it was a build up of something in a vacuum line or something and it’s good now. If it is something, it’ll get fixed.

I got the BimmerCode app and the BimmerLink app. Was planning on seeing how those work out then going from there. Once I get a working BT OBD adapter; the company is sending me a replacement.
